Ms Nomarashiya Caluza
Nomarashiya Caluza is the principal of the Nhlanhlayethu High School. In addition to her professional qualifications, she holds an Honours Bachelor of Education (Education Management, Law and systems) (Northwest University 2019); Master of Education (Educational Leadership, Management and Policy) (UKZN 2022); Master of Public Management (Regenesys 2023); and a Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Relations (UKZN 2019).
Mr Norman Arendse (SC)
Mr Arendse is a senior practising advocate and a member of the Cape and Johannesburg Bars. The senior counsel status was conferred upon him in 1998. He was a member of the previous UCT Council, serving on its executive committee and as chair of the then Naming of Buildings Committee.
Mr Arendse’s extensive experience in governance, legal matters and leadership roles in national sports structures in South Africa as well as in the law profession as the first black chair of the General Council of the Bar of South Africa.

Ms Nazeema Mohamed
Nazeema Mohamed is a seasoned consultant with extensive experience in higher education, nonprofit management, governance, strategic planning, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Currently, she consults to the Institute for African Alternatives and the AfroAsia Cultural Hub, advising on resource mobilisation and programming. In addition to her consulting work, Nazeema manages the art business ZaraDidit, owned by the talented artist, Zara Newman. She also serves on the Board of South African History Online.
Professor Eddy Maloka
Prof Eddy Maloka is a diplomat by occupation, an academic by training, an experienced expert on foreign policy and a dedicated senior public servant. He was the Chief Executive Officer of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) for eight years, between February 2016 and May 2024.
