Ms Nazeema Mohamed

Nazeema Mohamed is a seasoned consultant with extensive experience in higher education, nonprofit management, governance, strategic planning, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Currently, she consults to the Institute for African Alternatives and the AfroAsia Cultural Hub, advising on resource mobilisation and programming. In addition to her consulting work, Nazeema manages the art business ZaraDidit, owned by the talented artist, Zara Newman. She also serves on the Board of South African History Online.

Professor Eddy Maloka

Prof Eddy Maloka is a diplomat by occupation, an academic by training, an experienced expert on foreign policy and a dedicated senior public servant. He was the Chief Executive Officer of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) for eight years, between February 2016 and May 2024.

Mr Malcolm Campbell

Malcolm Campbell is a UCT alumnus, having obtained a BArch from the university in 1981. He also holds an MSc in economics in urban development planning from the University College of London.

He has served on Council since 2018 and has served as Chair of the University Building and Development Committee (UB&DC). Since May 2023, he has served as the Deputy Chair of Council and as a member of the Council Executive and the Remuneration Committee. He had also chaired the Naming of Buildings Committee over a three-year period.

Mr Reeza Isaacs

Mr Reeza Isaacs is an experienced corporate board director with comprehensive understanding and knowledge of board dynamics and board effectiveness.

He has worked across multiple business sectors, including manufacturing, retail, gas, asset management and insurance; and for a wide variety of entities, including professional services, listed, private and owner-managed entities. His most recent appointment has been as the group finance director for Woolworths Holdings Limited (2013–2023).

Dr Maletsabisa Molapo

Dr Maletsabisa Molapo is an alumna of the University of Cape Town holding a master’s and PhD in computer science.

She is the Executive for Research and Innovation at Telkom, leading research and development (R&D) strategy, industry–academic partnerships, and research focused on customer experience, sensor and AI solutions, and data-driven connectivity.

Mr David Ansara

David Ansara is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Free Market Foundation. Prior to this he was the Chief Operating Officer at the Centre for Risk Analysis of the Institute of Race Relations.

He is an alumnus of the University of Cape Town where he completed his undergraduate studies and, in 2008, an MSocSc specialising in political studies.
