International Women’s Day on 8 March saw the signing of the new University of Cape Town–University of Bristol (UCT–UoB) Professorship and Fellowship Programme.
The Universities of Cape Town and Bristol have created a collaboration programme to promote academic cooperation within jointly agreed strategic areas of interest and more widely.
The six-month mark of his tenure presented the University of Cape Town’s (UCT) vice-chancellor, Professor Mosa Moshabela, an opportunity to speak about legacy and what it means from a historic point of view, and its custodian: the future.

Today marks one year since I joined the University of Cape Town (UCT) as the 11th Vice-Chancellor. I wish to take this moment to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for all the support you have given me since 1 August 2024.
