The University of Cape Town (UCT) and the University of Toronto have taken a significant step towards forging a powerful global alliance. Quinton Johnson, PhD, Director of UCT’s International Office, is delighted to announce the conclusion of a dynamic student mobility agreement between the two institutions.

This milestone agreement was formally ratified by UCT Vice-Chancellor Professor Mosa Moshabela and University of Toronto President Professor Meric Gertler during a special ceremony in Toronto. The event followed the latest meeting of the U7+ World Universities Alliance, where both leaders affirmed their shared commitment to global collaboration and excellence in higher education.

The agreement will facilitate the reciprocal exchange of postgraduate students and promote joint research activities, with both universities positioning themselves at the forefront of innovative, international academic engagement.
